Federal agents from the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (VFAST) recently arrested a Georgia man, wanted for murder in another state, who recently enrolled in C.R. England’s West Valley City, Utah, truck driving school.

VFAST agents arrested Khalid Mahamed Hirmoge, 29, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, on July 1, on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive.

Hirmoge, who also goes by the alias, Yonnas Kahsay, is in custody without bail at the Salt Lake County Jail, according to the county’s website.

Federal agents claim Hirmoge fled Georgia after he allegedly shot two people, killing one person, in a nightclub in Decatur, Georgia, on June 26, according to Deseret News.

He then moved to Utah and enrolled as a trainee at C.R. England’s truck driver training school following the shooting.

The police affidavit states that Hirmoge was taken into custody without incident after members of VFAST conducted surveillance at the C.R. England driver training school on July 1.

A representative at CR England’s Premier Truck Driving School in West Valley City declined to comment on Hirmoge’s arrest.

A public information officer of the U.S. Marshals did not return FreightWaves’ telephone calls seeking comment about Hirmoge’s arrest.
