July new heavy-duty truck orders lowest since 2010, more evidence for trucking recession

FTR Transportation Intelligence reported preliminary orders of 9,800 units. That was down 82 percent from the same month last year when fleets rushed to secure build slots for new equipment in a robust economy.
ACT Research reported the preliminary July order number at 10,200, the lowest since February 2010. Adjusted for seasonal factors, 12,100 orders were placed, the lowest since October 2016. – Adler also wrote in his article.
