California Highway Patrol says electric trucks are “definitely the future” after Tesla semi-truck test
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says they were very impressed with Tesla Semi truck performance.
On Thursday, August 15 CHP Donner Pass division shared a post from their Facebook page showing their encounter with electric Tesla Semi hauling approximately 75,000 lbs flatbed load (including the truck).
“Tesla is out testing the new electric truck tractor. The driver stated the concrete blocks are for testing purposes only. According to the driver the truck is operating at approximately 75,000 lbs and the truck is meeting or exceeding the range estimates. Electric trucks are definitely the future. We look forward to seeing more electric trucks on the road.” – According to post from CHP – Donner Pass
